Publisher’s Description:

A moving series of photographs capturing a few years of Takiguchci's life revolving around his wife and her family. Starting with the sudden death of his wife's mother, a series of events, such as the wife's father's long-term hospitalization, the wife's delivery, the death of her loved cat and her father's death, took place one after another. When looking at both the photographs of his wife's family he has taken in these years and old photographs of her parents, Takiguchi felt like they were all connected with one line. He also heard from his wife that her mother took her last breath right after staring vacantly into space and shifting her gaze to outside the window as if chasing after something. For Takiguchi, "window" is the symbol of a fragile border that separates inner and outer realms, the border between life and death.
